Amy Gebben, LMFT, RPT
[she/her]

I’ve been working in the field of mental health for over 10 years now. I graduated from Argosy University — Twin Cities in 2010 with a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy. I was licensed for five years in Minnesota before heading south to North Carolina for warmer weather. I’m extremely passionate about helping clients work through traumatic experiences, focusing on beliefs created in early childhood, and process how that has shown up in current life trials. As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I use a systemic approach to presenting problems and values collaboration in the therapeutic relationship. Currently I am pursuing a LMFT-S designation, so LMFTA’s can reach out to the main office for inquiring about supervision for licensure.

I work with all ages and stages, blending different techniques to fit the needs of my clients. From using play therapy techniques with ages 3 to 14, trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy techniques and EMDR for adolescents to adults, and sand tray therapy techniques for anywhere in between. I have worked with many different disorders including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, posttraumatic stress disorder, reactive attachment disorder, autism spectrum disorder, ADD/ADHD. I’ve also worked with clients to improve stress management, self-worth, self-care, manage symptoms from grief/loss, sexual, emotional and verbal abuse, abandonment/rejection, and explore sexual identity/orientation.

With our expertise, dedication, and trauma-informed approach, we’ll match you with an outstanding therapist who can meet you where you are in your journey.
