Caitlin Hubbard, LCSWA [she/her]
I’m a Charlotte-raised native who completed my Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate in the state of North Carolina. I’m dedicated to providing a warm, safe, and supportive environment that is tailored to the needs of my clients.
I’m incredibly passionate about working with first responders (i.e. fire, law enforcement, emergency medical services, and telecommunications). I have a first responder background myself; a state certified EMT-B and a volunteer firefighter. Trained in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM), I’m culturally competent, as I’m well aware of the impact of critical incidents, of exposure to vicarious trauma, and of the cumulative stress that occurs over the span of this career and personal life. I work hard to destigmatize mental health services among first responders so they don’t have to continue to suffer in silence.
I offer individual counseling services to children and adults between the ages of 9 to 55+ years old. Particularly, I specialize in working with children and adolescents who have experienced significant grief and loss. I understand that the pain of loss can be overwhelming. Grief is like a fingerprint — entirely unique to the individual and their journey. Overarchingly, I provide a strengths-based perspective coupled with a person-centered approach. I specialize in working with clients who experience anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, PTSD, grief, and loss, as well as issues related to stress, self-esteem, adult EMDR, LGBTQ+ specific struggles, coping skills, and difficult life transitions.
With our expertise, dedication, and trauma-informed approach, we’ll match you with an outstanding therapist who can meet you where you are in your journey.
