I am an “aggressively accepting” social worker originally from just outside of Charlotte, North Carolina. I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where I focused on LGBTQIA+ mental health, education, and advocacy. I am experienced at using a person-centered eclectic approach and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), and more through a Trauma-Informed Care lens. I have experience working with clients on gender and sexual identity exploration, depression, anxiety, trauma, neurodivergence, life changes, self-esteem, self-care, and more.
I believe in meeting clients where they are and empowering them to discover their authentic selves, achieve their goals, and live their best lives in a safe and supportive space. I know first-hand about the importance of identity affirmation and living as one’s authentic self, and work to help others navigate the process of self-discovery, self-acceptance, and self-love. I’m passionate about removing barriers to quality mental health care, educating folks on the nuances of identity, advocating for equity and equality, and strives to provide individualized care that meets their client’s needs. I enjoy working with clients ages 8 years old and up, all backgrounds, and all identities. In my spare time I enjoy playing the ukulele, doing jigsaw puzzles, cross-stitching, and spending time with my loved ones.
With our expertise, dedication, and trauma-informed approach, we’ll match you with an outstanding therapist who can meet you where you are in your journey.
