Heather Fangman, LCMHC [she/her]
The priority of a therapist is to provide a safe, collaborative and useful relationship that results in increased self-awareness and positive change. My name is Heather Fangman and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor [LCMHC] who graduated from Miami University with a BA in psychology and completed my Masters degree in community counseling at Youngstown State University. I provide individual, family, and group counseling services to ages 5yr+ and up focused around issues that include abuse and neglect, depression and anxiety, trauma, postpartum depression, difficult relationships, and parenting concerns. My professional special interests particularly lie in play therapy, adolescent adjustment disorders, perinatal mood disorders and trauma, and high conflict divorce. I would describe my clinical orientation as being cognitive behavioral and person centered, but I also integrate mindfulness, somatic psychology, and expressive arts techniques into my work where my clients need it.
In addition to private practice and community mental health I have a wide-ranging background of previous experience in community based social work, therapeutic foster care case management, and academic coaching. My professional specialties even span into childbirth education as a birth doula that trained under Penny Simkin at the Seattle Midwifery School. If you are ready to seek help with someone here to support you, then I hope to hear from you soon so we can begin working on helping you become the happiest and most confident version of yourself.
With our expertise, dedication, and trauma-informed approach, we’ll match you with an outstanding therapist who can meet you where you are in your journey.
