Jessie Pongetti, LCMHCA is a Charlotte native who received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her graduate degree in Counseling and Development from Winthrop University.
Jessie is experienced in using a person-centered approach while employing a variety of therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to assist her clients in healing. Jessie has experience working with presenting problems such as anxiety, depression, life transition, grief, self-love, career counseling, trauma, gender/sexual identity, anger management, attachment issues as well incorporating play therapy and creative outlets for self-expression.
Jessie believes first and foremost that the key to effective therapy is providing a safe and accepting space for clients to process and understand themselves and their surroundings. By holding such a space for individuals, counselor and client can work together to identify clear and attainable goals as the client works towards becoming their most authentic self. Jessie has experience working with all populations, specializing in children and adolescents.
